Record audiences for The ApprenticeThe Apprentice broke all previous audience records yesterday. 8.9 million watched Lee McQueen winning The Apprentice crown yesterday, 1.4 million more than watched the semi-final last week and itself a record audience at the time. The audience was also 30% more than the 6.8 million who saw Simon Ambrose being appointed Sir Alan Sugar's apprentice in 2007. That audience was also a record at the time. Adrian Chiles was on hand later in the evening. You're Fired on BBC Two was seen by 4.6 million, a new record for an Adrian Chiles spin-off show. That record was broken less than an hour later when 5.0 million watched Adrian Chiles host You're Hired on BBC One. |
