The Fame Academy teachers

The twelve Fame Academy students are coached by leading figures from the music industry including celebrity teachers. There are experts on hand to advise on every aspect of the business that an aspiring performer could need to know, whether it’s fine-tuning their performance or tips on handling the press.

Richard Hopkins, executive producer of Fame Academy explained: "Fame Academy takes the talent show genre a step forward. We're not just looking for young stage school hopefuls who can sing and put together a few moves for a video. We're also keen to encourage other performance skills such as guitar, piano, sax, dance, DJing, or rapping."

The classes are be under the instruction of the head teacher, the former Capital Radio programme director, Richard Park - and his four staff of leading industry professionals. Richard Park was voted 'Most Influential Person in the Music Industry' last year.

Carrie Grant is the vocal coach. She has trained artists including Atomic Kitten.

Pam Sheyne teaches songwriting in the Fame Academy - and don't call her Champagne! She co-wrote the hit Genie in a Bottle for Christina Aguilera which went to number one in 27 countries.

Pam has coached or produced seven number ones so far this year.

Kevin Adams teaches choreography at the Fame Academy.
He has taught Cher a few dance moves in his time as well as Boyzone and the Spice Girls. He has spent the summer trying to get Big Brother contestant Jade Goody back into shape. Fame Academy should be a doddle after that.

Jeremy Milnes used to be a drama teacher. You might have seen him in the BBC Two series Would Like To Meet where he developed pick-up skills and techniques for people looking for a date.
In Fame Academy he will be teaching personal development skills.

Jeremy goes clubbing

Jeremy called all the students together.

He said: "I was at a club - and Marli was there. We had a few drinks and then Marli and I had a bit of a snog."

Katie looked the most shocked and then said: "Do you think Kevin will snog me?"
