Bernie, one of his fans says: “James is handsome, witty, bursting with personality and an all round genuine guy who deserves to go far. A true professional and a star in the making, his many fans are hoping they will all get the opportunity to buy his album soon."

James in the first Fame Academy showdown

James sang Somewhere in My Heart.

David said: "I think that is enough to keep in in here tonight."

Carrie said: "We need to be looking at James's vocal identity."

Richard interrupted Posh and Dreads and said: "That performance was faded 80's star. You've given us two 80's songs in the two shows. The voice is pleasant but not outstanding. This is a tough business. Do you really see yourself cracking it with that level of material and a guitar that is not even plugged in?" Patrick told him that they use radio-packs nowadays.
