Kate Middleton says NO to the QueenThere has been speculation throughout the years about Kate's relationship with Queen Elizabeth II. While it has been rumored that the Queen has extended numerous invitations to Kate to join in royal holiday celebrations and the like, Kate is always said to have declined. Again this week, Katie Nicholl of the Mail on Sunday reports that Kate has turned down yet another invitation from the Queen - this time, to host her own table at next week's Royal Ascot. How many times will Kate allegedly 'snub' the Queen? It was reported that since Prince William and Prince Harry are both unavailable during Royal Ascot, the Queen instead asked Kate to host a table - thus allowing her to invite 10 friends into the private hospitality tent which lies inside the royal enclosure. Even though Kate attended Peter Phillip's wedding as a "stand-in" for Prince William a few short weeks ago, rumor has it that she is only too aware of what kind of speculation this new honor would bring, and is keen to avoid it. Personally, I just think she doesn't have 10 friends to invite! Click here to discuss this article on the Royal Forum |
