Prince Carl Philip of Sweden involved in race crash

Prince Carl Philip of Sweden received minor injuries during a go-kart race in Värmland, Sweden.

The prince was nearing the end of the race when he careered into a protective barrier at speed.

An ambulance scrambled to treat the prince who was later allowed to compete in the final.

The bend of the race track that the prince crashed on will now be known as 'Prinsens Kurva' in honour of Carl Philip.
