Sweden's King Carl Gustaf and Queen Silvia to visit George Bush

The King and Queen of Sweden will visit the United States and Canada in October. Their trip will include a visit to the US Capital and the White House on October 23rd and then a four day trip to Canada.

In an official press release, a White House spokesman said "The visit of their majesties King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia is an opportunity to further strengthen the US-Swedish friendship".

While in Canada, the royal couple will meet Governor General Michaëlle Jean and tour various facilities relating to sports, the environment and Canadian culture in Ottawa, Montreal, Quebec City and Toronto. This will be the King and Queen's second visit to Canada.
