Wills told Kate: Get a job!

The neverending saga of Kate Middleton and her "Job" has had a new twist.

It's been revealed that Prince William became so concerned that his girlfriend was beginning to look like a WAG, he advised her to find a job.

The Daily Mail has printed a story about Wills' concern and points out that Kate was, to Wills' horror, being photographed day in day out, shopping and flitting about the High Street and fashionable Chelsea like a footballer's wife.

Kate's reluctance to work is not new to royal fans, who have long debated Kate's apparent laziness. The latest news has not come as any surprise.

Many thought Carole and Michael Middleton's closeness to Jigsaw owners, Belle and John Robinson was the reason for Kate getting the job. But it now seems that Kate's mother was the force behind her employment as an assistant accessories buyer.

Kate seems to get a better deal than most of the other Jigsaw employees in the same positions. She only works from Monday to Thursday. This allows Kate to arrange her busy schedule of retail therapy, beauty treatments and socialising in order to still spend time with Wills.

A "friend" of Wills, trying to put a positive spin on this, told The Daily Mail 'Kate has tried her hand at a number of projects since leaving St Andrews, most notably setting up her own childrenswear firm.

'But for one reason or another, not least her relationship with William, they have fallen by the wayside.

'Although William understands how difficult dating a royal can be and is very supportive of his girlfriend, he became quite sensitive about the way she was perceived.

'The job at Jigsaw was the perfect solution as Kate is interested in fashion and, because of her parents' business, has a great gut instinct for what appeals to children.'

According to The Daily Mail, her lax working hours are even causing concern with her workmates, but none the less most seem to get along with her. What choice do they have? Most would have been employed on their merits, unlike those who get by through nepotism and being a girlfriend of a prince.
