Chelsy Davy arrived in the UK on Friday and was picked up by Prince Harry and his bodyguards at the airport. A subdued looking Chelsy was rushed though the airport to Harry's waiting car. An onlooker said, "She raced through the arrivals hall surrounded by police officers looking grim, before jumping straight into Harry's car." Harry himself had only recently returned to the UK from Canada where he has been undergoing military training.
According to reports in the Daily Mail Chelsy broke up with Harry after being left 'heartbroken and humiliated' when photos and stories of her boyfriend kissing barmaids were published.
Says a source, "After the story appeared about the bar girls Chelsy called Harry up in Canada and gave him hell before dumping him. Chelsy knows what Harry is like. But this time she told him she thought it was time they went their separate ways.
"She has since agreed to come back to London to talk with him, but she is still seriously angry. She was really looking forward to the concert but is not sure she wants to go now."
Harry, who is keen for Chelsy to attend the concert with him as his guest, has been trying to make up for his bad behaviour. A source says he didn't go out with Army friends to celebrate the end of their training and insisted on picking Chelsy up at the airport himself. Says the source, "Harry pretended he wasn't terribly fussed about the relationship ending but you could tell that he was cut up. He knew how stupid he had been."
The two are said to be looking forward to having a face to face talk about their relationship in person. Although the two care deeply for eachother they may very well end up going separate ways. And not just because of any kiss and tells. There have been many changes in their lives over the past few months. Harry was left feeling depressed when he was barred from serving in Iraq with his troop. His new round of training is said to have buoyed him up and given him something meaningful to work towards. However, he is now reconsidering making the Army his full time career and may retire after his comission ends. Afterwards he wishes to take up his charity work in Africa and to fulfill his royal duties at home.
Chelsy is also said to be reconsidering her future. After tasting so much freedom and adventure during her Gap Year since graduating from the University of Cape Town she is now uncertain if she wants to go to Bristol University to continue her studies. Friends say she would love to take another year off to continue her travels.
"Chelsy is having a bit of a wobble about Bristol. She wants to be with Haz but she is not sure about taking the place at university, partly because she is loving travelling so much. She and Sean are slumming it in Cuba, but they're having a great time. She really has caught the travelling bug."
Friends say that whatever the future Harry wants it to involve Chelsy although at times his actions undermine their relationship.
"Harry's at a crossroads. He has to make some decisions now about his future. One thing is for sure, it will involve Chelsy. He is besotted with her and has been in constant touch, reassuring her he loves her. He can't wait to see her at the concert."
