Called one of the highlights of the Social Calendar Wiltshire's Tidworth Polo Club was able to boast yet another royal player in this year's match for the Rundle Cup. And that royal player can boast an excellent performance which helped his team to win the match.
Prince William, playing for the Army's polo team against the Navy, scored 2 of his team's 5 goals. The Prince's mount also brought home an award as the matche's "Best Playing Pony". Surely that deserves a sugar lump or two! The game was the 3rd win in a row for the Army. Last year William played at Tidworth for the Indian Cavalry Polo Trophy while Harry competed with the Army's polo team against the Navy. In that match Harry was named "Player of the Match" for his performance.
Proudly watching the Princes success at last year's match were their girlfriends Chelsy Davy and Kate Middleton. It was speculated that Kate might be spotted at this year's match but she did not attend as she is currently on holiday. Prince Harry, usually such a fixture of the polo fields, was also not at the match due to Army commitments.
