How old is Stephanie?

Stephanie McMichael is a housemate in the 2008 Big Brother.

Stephanie could not prove her identity in Popstars:The Rivals in 2002 after she had progressed through the auditions.

She made it into the last 77 by pretending to be 16 before she confessed to Geri.

She was only 13 and would have to wait another three years before she was old enough for the show. Contestants have to be 16 to 24. Steph cried and was comforted by Davina on the show.

But she had passed two days of auditions and fooled Geri, Pete and Louis before she admitted her age.

Stephanie said her disappointment would not stop her becoming famous one day.

She said: "I know I can do it. It was just a little white lie that got out of control. Geri said she’d picked me as one the girls who’d make it into the band. I was stunned and flattered."

Maybe she was right! In March 2004 Stephanie was still only 15 but she was then signed up by former OMD star Andy McCluskey after Stephanie's mother, Jo, persuaded him to listen to her sing. McCluskey had previously created Atomic Kitten.
