Today's Sun newspaper reports that Nadine Coyle is planning to quit Girls Aloud.

Shayne goes to school

Shayne Ward went back to his old school, St Peter's RC High School, just a few days before The X Factor final.

Shayne was joined by a film crew from The X Factor, teachers, a security guard and four cops trying to keep order.

Jump

Girls Aloud released Jump on 17th November 2003.

Phixx

Phixx's first single was Hold On Me - released on 27th October 2003. The track was produced by Fame Academy's songwriting teacher John McLaughlin, who had previously worked with Busted, Blue and Five.

Six girls were singing for survival on the Saturday show - Nadine, Kimberley, Nicola, Sarah, Cheryl and Javine. One would be voted off later in the evening - and the surviving five will form the girl band managed by Louis Walsh. The Sun had reported that the band would be called Girls Allowed.

Six boys were singing for survival on 23rd November. One of Matt, Daniel, Keith, Anton, Chris or Jamie will be voted off the show.

The show opened with all the boys singing Hotel California - and with periodic screaming from the audience.
