Paul Liuzzo violates probation with BeatriceBea's ex-beau charged with probation violation - but still escapes jail timePaul Liuzzo, Princess Beatrice's alleged ex-boyfriend, was outed by British tabloids last month for a probation violation, when he was spotted with Beatrice in Verbier. Liuzzo was involved in a fight in 2002, in which an American student was beaten to death. After pleading guilty to an assault and battery charge in a Massachusetts court, Liuzzo was sentenced to 3 years probation, during which he was not supposed to travel to Europe, except to work in Britain. However, Liuzzo is said to had been living and working in Britain - and the US would have been none-the-wiser, had he not gotten hurt during a ski trip in France. He was taken to a French hospital, where he allegedly could not pay for the surgery he needed, and called on his ex-girlfriend for help. Fergie was quoted saying "Come here, we'll take care of you." Liuzzo was then seen by a doctor in Verbier, where the British tabloid press snapped photos of him with Beatrice. When US courts found out about the situation, Liuzzo was required to stand trial in Massachusetts for violating his parole. While the maximum sentence he could have received was 2 1/2 years in jail, Liuzzo got off easy, with only an extra 6 months of probation, and stricter traveling rules. He is now required to meet with his parole officer in person if he intends to leave the US, and is banned from returning to Britain for work. |
