X Factor Groups - Bad Lashes

Newly formed all girl band Bad Lashes are Emily McNamee, aged 19, Sophie Wilson, 23, from Hartlepool, and Samantha (Sam) Bennett, 21, and Stacey-Lacey Lincoln, 20, both from Durham.
The group have been referred to as the hairdressers but that’s not actually true!

Sophie is a professional singer on the wedding and club circuit, Emily has her own business, Caffe Luccia, in Jesmond, Newcastle, Sam works on National Express Trains and Stacey Lacey works on the MAC make-up stand in Fenwick, Newcastle.

Emily went to Durham High School for Girls, did her A-levels and then auditioned for some London theatre schools who apparently told her to get a bit of life experience first.

Emily has admitted that the group’s name Bad Lashes was a bit of a play on words, highlighting the naughty but nice aspect of their personalities but also referring to the fact that Sophie had operations to correct cataracts when she was younger so found it difficult to wear false eyelashes.

Now all they have to do is to try and impress mentor Louis Walsh, who described them as looking like a bunch of hairdressers when they auditioned for the show.

"It’s like four hairdressers trying to be a girl band”, he said before voting a No to them going through to boootcamp. However the other judges disagreed and now the girls have sailed though into the final stage before the live shows.

Will Bad Lashes make the final cut? It's in Louis's hands!
