The X Factor 5 - Joelle Moses gets the boot at Bootcamp & Final 24 revealed! After an amazing performance, almost blowing the judges away in last night's show, Joelle Moses progressed to the second round of bootcamp, aired earlier on tonight. However, unfortunately for Joelle and shockingly for the audience, her vocals didn't hold up during tonight's painful performance, resulting in her exit from the competition and her dreams of making it to the judges' homes crushed. It wasn't just Joelle's vocals that had played up, and confidence been crushed; many of tonight's contestants fell to pieces on stage. "I'm shocked, people are crumbling, even the best ones," exclaimed a surprised Cheryl. Auditionee hopefuls 4 Instinct started their performance well, however their lead singer crumbled under the pressure and forgot her words, throwing her microphone to the floor, she stormed off the stage, as one of her sisters and former band member brought her back on to give it another shot. Unfortunately, another one of the sisters also crumbled with the shock of the first mishap and broke down in tears on stage, the rest of the band lost it and ended up giving the judges one of the worst train-wreck performances an X Factor bootcamp has ever seen. Luckily for them, Simon explained he had "Never seen such a meltdown like that in my whole life, but there's something about these kids that I like." Stance had also messed up their performance, along with Jeffrey Patterson whose vocals just didn't hold out. Joseph Chukukere who entranced Cheryl in his audition looked like a rabbit in the headlights and gave a terrible performance on-stage. It wasn't all doom and gloom for tonight's contestants however, as once again Alexandra Burke provided an amazing vocal performance that once again showed her superior position in the girls category. Austin Drage was back tonight after last night's good performance, and although not matching his previous success, gave the judges a decent, safe vocal and his plea for "please don't take my dream away from me" left Simon airing his opinion that his resiliance borders on desperation. Liam Payne also impressed the judges however was told he was to go no further in the competition. After seeing his reaction Simon mirrored Series 3 and Ray Quinn and brought Liam back on stage to tell him that the judges had changed their minds. JLS were back tonight to prove their worth, and they certainly did after last night's somewhat flat performance. Their soulful rendition of Sorry seems to be the Hardest Word had Simon changing his mind by telling fellow judges that "These guys are so on it." Somebody else who had taken on board Simon's comments just 24 hours previously was Ruth Lorenzo who also sang Sorry seems to be the Hardest Word, with the first half in Spanish, this was a beautiful performance and smug Simon claimed all the praise for telling her to show a bit more of her Spanish side. One of the auditions of the night for me came from Rachel Hylton who sang an amazing rendition of Amazing Grace and really made the song her own. Last night's commotion seemed to have had an effect on Rachel and she told Simon she was "truly grateful" and that "sometimes it's better to have a bit of humility." While the judges deliberated and bickered over whose dreams would be crushed and who would progress to the judges' homes the contestants waited agonisingly on their decision. The full list of the final 24 contestants, and those who have made it through to the judges' homes next weekend is; Boys (Simon Cowell): Girls (Cheryl Cole): 25 & Overs (Dannii Minogue): Groups (Louis Walsh): The judges all seem happy with their categories. Louis exclaimed on hearing that he had the groups "Oh good, yeah I'm happy." Simon seemed content with the boys although somewhat disappointed he hadn't got the girls saying "I'm thrilled for them more than me." Dannii was grateful to hear the news she had the 25 and overs - "That is brilliant, thank you." And Cheryl, master of emotions in this X Factor series, hadn't failed to hide what she felt upon hearing the news she was to mentor the girls, she screamed with excitement and shook as she said to the camera "I am a very happy judge right now." Simon thinks Louis is toast, and Louis thinks Dannii can't win. The competition is on, and the competition really begins next weekend in another double-bill of Judges' Homes action, where the final 3 from each category and those who will be that much closer to realising their dream by reaching the live finals will be revealed.
