X Factor 5 - Judges' Homes - Dannii Minogue and Emma Bunton fly the over 25s to St TropezAnd so to the Over 25s who were thrilled to hear that they would be going to St. Tropez. After arriving and taking a look around, Dannii Minogue emerged from her doors to face the whooping and cheers of her contestants below and went on to unveil her assistant, former Spice Girl Emma Bunton. First up for the over 25s was Daniel Evans who reduced Cheryl to tears in his audition and didn't fail to add emotion to his performance of "Against all odds". Following Daniel was Ruth Lorenzo who wowed all the judges at bootcamp with her Spanish heritage coming through in her singing. She again sang beautifully, in Spanish, and equally as enchanting in English, however was unable to finish performing "True Colours" properly due to an emotional performance. This left Dannii pondering whether she would "be able to cope" with the live shows. Louise Heatly also couldn't finish "Say a little prayer" properly as she forgot her lyrics halfway through and mumbled parts of the song. A rather surprising and unexpected performance of "Mr Bojangles" came from James Williams who hadn't got much airtime in previous stages of the competition at all. "I'm just not sure if he's got that technique" exclaimed Emma Bunton. Another contestant who hadn't had much deserved airtime was Suzie Furlonger, who had appeared on the show before as part of winner Shayne Ward's choir. "Pretty and sexy" Suzie did not fail to impress with her rendition of "One day I'll fly away" although left her mentor questioning her self-belief. Finally, controversial Rachel Hylton stepped up to redeem herself from bootcamp where her temper had got the better of her. A simple trend had developed in St. Tropez as Rachel too forgot half of the words to Christina Aguilera's "Beautiful" and was unable to finish the song. "I just hope that Dannii sees my potential." All that is left now is for Dannii and Emma to reveal to their contestants who has and hasn't made it. Tune in tomorrow night (04/10/08) at 6.10pm on ITV1 to hear the news. |
